You feel like you're wide awake You can see you're dragging down the morning sun, the morning sun You believe you hide away You can see you're burning in your innocence, your innocence Yeah you gotta give it up You're laughing at the morning sun Yeah you gotta give it up, give it up You're laughing at the morning sunx2[INSTRUMENTAL]...incomplete New York-via- London rockers Alberta Cross are set to release Songs of Patience, the follow-up to their 2009 debut Broken Side of Time, on July 17th on ATO. Take an exclusive first listen to their new single, "Magnolia," a steadily soaring jam with the kind of closing chorus that demands group sing-alongs."'Magnolia' is a song about too many late nights, for better or worse, and the feeling of estrangement they sometimes bring," says lead singer and guitarist Petter Ericson Stakee. "At the end of the day, though, I feel like it's more of a positive song than a negative one. It's pretty colorful and, for some, could be a sort of summer chant about having a good time. I'd say it's definitely a summer tune."
