Got the summons served on a Sunday see what I've done
I couldn't see much sense in the charges but they sure sounded like fun
So I went downtown at the Bow Street to see the company man
Hey boy you're in a heap of trouble but I'll do ev'rything that I can
But the judge is a grudge man and that's a fact and that's a fact
The judge is a grudge man and that's a fact
You shouldn't let yourself get caught in the act
Sorry for the damage I've done I'll try to pay it back
The only crime I ever committed was being caught in the act
So the next time that you feel good don't forget the fact
There's a man in blue and he wants you to be caught in the act
And the judge is a grudge man and that's a fact and that's a fact
Well the judge is a grudge man and that's a fact
Hope you don't ever get caught in the act
Yeah the judge is a grudge man and that's a fact and that's a fact
Yes the judge is a grudge man and that's a fact
Hope you don't ever get caught in the act
Yes I hope you don't ever get hope you don't ever get caught in the act
