A British scientific expedition to a remote rainforest in Papua New Guinea has discovered a new species of giant rat, one of the biggest in the world. The Bosavi woolly rat is the size of a small domestic cat, weighing around a kilo and a half. It was found by a BBC wildlife film crew. Here's cameraman Gordon Buchanan. This is the biggest true rat in the world. Unbelievable! It's actually so big. It doesn't look like a rat. This fellow is just incredible. This is a really significant finding for expedition. The people of the South Pacific nation of Samoa are switching to driving on the left-hand side of the road today, the first country to change sides since the 1970s. The move survived a legal challenge from a protest group which argues that it would lead to chaos. The emergency services have been conducting demonstrations to show drivers what to do. And a two-day national holiday has been declared to minimise disruption. The Samoa government says the change would allow people to drive cheaper imported cars from Australia and New Zealand, which also drive on the left.
