[00:00.01]A man goes on trial in Austria today accused of locking his daughter in a basement for years.
[00:05.96]Josef Fritzl is charged with rape, incest, enslavement, as well as with murdering one of seven babies he fathered with his daughter.

[00:16.76]Prosecutors argued that the baby, a twin, might have survived if had been taken to a doctor.

[00:33.08]Josef Fritzl's lawyer Rudolf Mayer has told Austrian media that his client will plead guilty to most of the charges, but will contest the murder charge.
