There was a tiger and the dove

Destined to meet how would it happen

The tiger searched the whole world

Determined not to rest
Until he found something beautiful

That no one else had found before

A thing so rare

What would it be like

He traveled over mountains

He crossed an ocean

But no sign of this kind of

Miraculous thing that he was looking for

So day after day

His soldiered heart

And suddenly he found himself in a vast forest

Deciding perhaps he would rest
beside an old tree there

Closing his eyes
He could hear a mournful singing

Could it be

Something heard in this voice
was so familiar

Looking up he saw white dove
in the tree tops

Oh is it true
Is it really you

With the voice so pure

Singing so sweet

There was a tiger and the dove

And so begins their tale of endless love
