As the light bearer stood, before the gates of the north |
An ebony ship, arrived at the shore |
A thousand pale men, with banners of light |
Looked at each other, and roared in delight |
They greeted themselves, and their glorious lives |
They had been to the realms, where the angels decline |
A palace of mercury, of blood and of clay |
A palace of Worms and of moral decay |
They had seen the great god, a pitiful man |
They had taken his life, as another god can |
What man has created, man may destroy |
Let's feast on his corpse, and reinstate joy |
