I took a drive to see you last night after midnight. |
I drove all the way over you weren't there. |
On my return I decided to travel on to the part of town that |
I'm not so sure of, what they call bad. |
I saw girls pushing babies |
as they slept in their strollers |
being pushed from the corners into the dark. |
And there were dogs that took over where the homeless |
would slumber n the day, |
but it was night now in the park. |
Now this part it's so different. |
It's unlike me it's so distant |
just the colors are different, |
now I know. |
I'm not sure why I'm wary, |
in the dark things get hazy, |
but I know I'd be crazy to ignore. |
