Oh the news you bring |
How it changes things |
I could say it'll be all right |
But I don't mean it right now |
The hospital lights up and everyone comes back |
They're here for the coming thaw and cracks in the ice |
From cracks in the ice |
The deer and |
I will stay to witness the beauty of petrified trees caught in the freeze |
Every mile is numb |
They captured everyone warming our hands in the candlelight |
The power went out |
We walked around the house trying to find a bed |
To quiet our heads |
And listen for cracks in the ice |
We part a branch to find |
Our world's been crystallized |
And some of the ones you see are the ones who snare your dreams |
And some of those fallen things are strangely comforting to me |
The deer and |
I will stay to witness the beauty |
Suspended in still life no matter how scary |
And every mile is numb |
We captured everyone warming our hands in the candlelight |
The power went out |
We walked around the house trying to find a bed |
To quiet our heads |
