| The following summer they went to their vacation home in McCall, Idaho; soon after their arrival there, their neighbor pointed out to them that the animal shelter in McCall listed the availability of a four-month-old black Lab. The following morning Mr. and Mrs. Thompson visited the shelter, and by noon were home with their new puppy. They knew nothing about her except that she had been in the big state park in the nearby national forest. She obviously had ridden in automobiles before, as she immediately jumped in their car, determined to go with them to whatever new home she would have. She was well-trained and made herself at home in the new apartment immediately. |
