M: Morning, Catherine. Have a seat. W: Thanks. M: Have you decided yet what aspects of Social Interaction to cover in your assignment? W: Not really. I've read so much that I'm having trouble choosing. M: OK, what have you read about? W: Well, there's interaction in families. That's fascinating. M: Mm. W: I think I 'd like to write a whole assignment about it, because there's so much to consider. M: Then how about leaving it for now and writing an assignment purely on that next semester? I read a good article about the sort of interaction we have with acquaintances -- mostly about the people we recognize but don't necessarily know by name. It really opened my eyes to everyday behavior, so I'd quite like to write about that. M: I think you should consider how long the assignment is going to be, and how these different topics relate to each other. W: That's a point. Then I'd better put off the deciding about acquaintances for the moment until I've managed to plan this in more details.
