| The president of a local branch of the Japan Highway Public Corporation hanged himself on Monday in the third suicide in a week by a public official under investigation for suspected corruption. Sasaki had scheduled to be questioned by prosecutors investigating alleged corruption at semi-government highway authority, Kyoto news agency said.
