It's like something out of a story, made up in your mind |
You say you wish it was like this |
And then it is, and all of a sudden |
You're on a plane and it's on it's way to a place you've never been |
And if you blink then you'll miss it |
But you're just trying to figure out where your head is |
Cause it's midnight again and here I am |
Just trying to figure out where the year went |
And if anyone's left to listen |
It's all startin' to hit home, home |
A place that I don't know anymore |
Every time I walk out the door, it's like a big tug of war |
To my head and my heart, my thoughts and my dreams |
But if I don't know what I want, this is what I need |
We weren't afraid to dream a little bigger, |
Believe me I wasn't born a singer |
But I was born with a big heart, raised right |
Dad taught me never give up without a fight |
And we did, some kids, if we'll win, it's way too close to call |
But I still catch you up, where we left off, where we left off |
Do you know the feeling that you get |
When you accomplish something you work for on your own |
Like 30,000 sold, or around a thousand shows we played |
They can't take that away, so hate the words I say or me |
But they can never take that away |
It's true, too many people believe in what we do |
It's insane to me, cause I remember being in high school |
Writing words up in my room, and those same words became tattoos |
And helped some people make it through, enough to save a life |
Who am I to save a life, but you saved mine |
But you saved mine |
And I think I'm finally seeing, things clearly now |
This is my resolution |
